If you looking to join our exciting programme as an athlete I am pleased to be able to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Plymouth Leander Swimming Association.  We are committed to providing the best possible opportunities for you and your child within the sport of swimming: Plymouth Leander is probably Britain’s foremost competitive swimming club. Whether you are an Olympic hopeful or a club swimmer who just wants to be the best they can, we have a programme for you.  As part of this we are proud to have achieved the ASA’s Swim 21 Performance Accreditation.  Please have a look at the Terms of Membership document to get an understanding of what you can expect, and what is expected of you.

The Membership Application Form is designed to be quick and simple to complete as we recognise that there is much to learn in this world of competitive swimming you have chosen.  Please download the form, complete all mandatory information for EACH Swimmer, and email the completed form to our Membership Secretary at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or to Callum Doyle, Head of Junior Programmes at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  It is also necessary to download, print and complete the Medical Declaration Form which should then be posted to the address shown on the form.

We do require that every swimming member of the Club who is under 18 years of age has one of their parents or legal guardians as an Associate Member.  Please feel free to contact any member of the Executive Committee, our contact details can be found on the Club Contacts page.

If you are already a member of our club or are just wanting to help us with the many tasks needed to keep a club of our size afloat we would be pleased to hear from you. The full list of formal jobs is available from this link however we are very interested to hear from you if you are only able to help from time to time.

Without the help of volunteers our club would cease to function!!

Our aim is to provide the best possible opportunities for our members to achieve their potential within the sport of swimming up to and including International honours.  As well as training and competition we also offer the opportunity to obtain qualifications for Coaching, Refereeing and Team Management.

I hope that you will enjoy being a member of Plymouth Leander Swimming Association and that you will be able to take full advantage of all the opportunities we can provide.
